Meaningful engagement with communities and stakeholders is essential to building trust and transparency. We collaborate with local governments, Indigenous partners, and community organizations to share information, gather feedback, and address concerns.
Our teams maintain regular dialogue with community members through open houses, partnership meetings, and direct outreach. These relationships help us identify opportunities for improvement and ensure our operations align with local expectations and priorities.
Centerra recognizes the rights, traditions, and aspirations of Indigenous Peoples and is committed to relationships built on respect, understanding, and mutual benefit. Our partnerships with Indigenous governments and businesses create opportunities for employment, contracting, and training that support long-term community well-being.
Responsible sourcing plays a vital role in creating shared economic value and supporting regional development. Centerra prioritizes hiring locally and purchasing from businesses in the areas where we operate.
We work closely with suppliers and contractors to uphold high standards of safety, environmental responsibility, and fair business practices. Through these partnerships, we aim to strengthen local supply chains and help build resilient, sustainable communities in northern British Columbia.
